About Wynne Nowland

Wynne Nowland has been living happily as a trans woman for the past 5 years. Being the CEO of Bradley & Parker, Wynne had a late-in-life transition. Due to her stature at a well-respected insurance brokerage firm, she didn’t come out to work until she was 56 years old.

Wynne has a successful career with over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She designs and implements insurance programs for commercial clients. In 2017, Wynne decided she was ready to come out as transgender to her company. Concerned about negative feedback, she found that although she worked in a conservative environment, her employees were supportive and greeted her openly with smiles, hugs, and warmth.

Wynne shares her inspirational story to inspire others. Through her journey, she has come to learn that many prejudices are based simply around fears. To increase awareness and broaden knowledge, Wynne hopes her story and her experiences help normalize trans experiences for many. Wynne has set out to empower those who don’t live under the norm of society’s expectations.

In honor of Pride Month, Women.com has invited Wynne to speak with us. Tune in live to learn things she wished she knew before she transitioned, tips for people beginning their transition, and valuable lessons she has learned over time.

Let Wynne help you capture your authentic self live on IG: @womendotcom at 10:30 am PST / 1:30 pm EST.
