Netflix's Sabrina Reboot Has Found Their Aunt Hilda & Zelda
Netflix's Sabrina The Teenage Witch Casts Aunt Hilda And Aunt Zelda
The New Netflix series has cast the two women who raised Sabrina and help her tame her witchy powers. So, who will play the new Netflix Sabrina Hilda and Zelda? The answer is under the cut. But, first, who originally played Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda? I’m so glad you asked.
Original Aunt Hilda And Aunt Zelda
Hilda and Zelda were originally played by Carline Rhea and Beth Broderick, respectively, in the original Sabrina the Teenage Witch which aired on ABC from 1996 to 2003.
Aunt Hilda, as you well remember, was the kooky one, while Aunt Zelda was more the voice of reason. Just like everyone’s family dynamic!
Also just like everyone’s family dynamic? The talking cat Salem has already had his sneak peek.
Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
The upcoming Sabrina reboot will be a lot darker than the original sitcom. The horror-coming-of-age story will feature the original traits of the Aunts, but with an expected dark twist.
Who Plays Aunt Hilda And Aunt Zelda?
Miranda Otto has been cast to play Aunt Zelda. She is best known for playing warrior Eowyn in Lord of the Rings.
However, now she’ll play the more stern aunt — who happens to worship the Dark Lord. As you do.
Lucy Davis will play Aunt Hilda — she’s more lighthearted and fun-loving, but apparently she has a knack for whipping up wicked magic potions. Just like my own aunt, who’s wicked magic potion turned out to be a glass of vodka and a splash of the purple Gatorade.
You may remember Davis as the scene-stealing Etta Candy in Wonder Woman, or as Dawn Tinsley in the British version of The Office.
