Kim Possible Live Action Movie In Development, Casting Begins

Kim Possible Live Action Movie

If you haven't been called or beeped yet, here's the sitch: Disney is developing a Kim Possible live-action movie.

The Kim Possible live action casting has already begun, according to Entertainment Weekly.

I swear on my naco (my combination of nachos and a taco, available only at Ron Stoppable's favorite cartoon restaurant, Bueno Nacho.)

When Did Kim Possible Come Out?

From the year 2002 until 2007, Christy Carlson Romano of Even Stevens gave voice to the fearless cheerleader-by-day crime-fighter-by-night Kim Possible.

Sincere apologies to any early aughts child who is now realizing that it's been 16 years since they were rooting for Kim and Ron (played by Will Friedle) to hook up. Or, you know, if you were trying to figure out your sexuality, rooting for Shego (Nicole Sullivan) and Kim to hook up.

When Will The Kim Possible Live-Action Come Out?

Wondering when the Kim Possible reboot will be released? Well, unfortunately, we don't have the answer to that answer. The show just started casting. Who knows if it'll even make it past the pilot? But, be sure to stay tuned with us! We'll update you when we can!

Kim Possible Movie Spoilers: Casting

Co-directors and co-producers of the original series, Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovksy are again taking the reigns on the made for kids spy thriller.

The script was also put in capable hands. The movie was written by Josh Cagan who showed off his chops by penning The DUFF along with the original series creators, Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley.

Casting director Blyth Nailling will be the one deciding who will play the real-life Kim, Ron, villains, and naked mole rat, Rufus.

Adam Bonnett, executive vice president of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement:

"Mark and Bob created an enduring character and kids all over the world found a friend in her, an average girl who just happens to spend her off-school hours thwarting evil villains. Although Kim Possible ‘can do anything,' kids and tweens found that this animated redhead was just like them.

"As we embark on the fun challenge of making Kim and Ron fully dimensional. I'm thrilled to be working again with Mark and Bob and to welcome the addition of a dynamic creative team – Josh, Zanne, Adam, and Zach – into a world where anything is indeed possible."

Fans are already commenting on Twitter on their hopes (and fears) for the movie, including who'd they'd like to cast.

Fans are already fretting just WHAT Disney has in store for creating Rufus. Cringe.

Kim Possible Live Action Casting: Madelaine Petsch?

Fan casting has begun. Sadly, Madelaine Petsch is probably under contract at the CW for Riverdale.

Kim Possible Live Action Casting: Bella Thorne?

Remember, Disney, not every redhead is perfect for the role.

Fans are worried that Bella Thorne may take on the role of Kim Possible -- which could be a huge may -- Thorne appeared in The Duff, which was written by the same person who took on the Kim Possible script.

Personally? I'm pumped for the Kim Possible live-action reboot. But, how are they going to make Rufus look adorable and NOT like a real-life one? Have you ever SEEN a real naked mole rat?!
