Khloe Kardashian: When To Start Having Sex In A New Relationship?

Khloe, who is expecting her first child with 26-year-old Tristan Thompson admits that there isn't really a "timeline" of when to get freaky betwixt the sheets.

The 33-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashian star says it all depends on what you're looking for, like a fling or a relationship.

She wrote:

"… I also believe you set the tone for your relationship early on. If you really are into someone, then there's no rush for sex — I would wait a little bit. If you want a long-lasting relationship, I don't think waiting a few dates is going to hurt anything. But, if you know that this is more of a passion type of thing, then what are you waiting for? LOL!"

Who says that passion and long-term can't go hand in horny hand though?

Kardashian adds:

"Just remember you have to be honest with the person you're with, so you're on the same page."

Communication is key folks.

When Should I Have Sex?

If you're looking for a more scientific timeline than listening to a reality star, why?!

Just kidding, I understand not trusting a Kardashian with your sex life. They don't really get normalcy. For example, I need to trap a man quick to pay bills!

Terrible, horrible joke aside, there have been some studies as to when you should put out.

And the too long; didn't read version of it is this: It all really depends! But again, communication is emphasized.

Barton Goldsmith, a psychotherapist, told Business Insider that being on the same page is what's helpful to find the right time to start having sex.

When To Start Having Sex With A New Boyfriend/Girlfriend

According to Goldsmith, you should spend 36 hours together. That's all it takes!

The hours don't have to be consecutive, for most couples it may take a few weeks to hit the 36 hour mark.

He says that waiting any longer and the sexual desire may begin to fade.

Other experts say waiting THREE MONTHS is key — to make sure you're past the "honeymoon phase."

You're more on each others feet and you don't have daydream-y ideas about another person. You know who they are.

However, some experts say getting past the honeymoon phase before you finally shack up is a mistake.

All in all, the best time to have sex is when you and your partner are really ready. No one can tell you an exact timeframe, as everyone and every relationship is totally different.
