Fantastic Beasts Cast

Eddie Redmayne returns to his role of the ever charming Hufflepuff Newt Scamander. After finding some truly fantastic beasts in New York City, he started to run in with the dark wizard Grindelwald, played by the pretty gross Johnny Depp.

Grindelwald wants to conquer the wizarding world, and also get rid of those pesky muggles. Or, as Americans call them, no-maj.

Also rejoining the cast is Katherine Waterson* as Porpetina Goldstein, **Dan Fogler as Newt's no-maj friend Jacob Kowalski, and Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone.

You can also see the first glimpse of Jude Law as a young Albus Dumbledore in the new trailer!

Fantastic Beasts Spoilers

The Fantastic Beasts sequel will pick up right where the first movie left off — with Grindelwald in custody.

It also appears that Dumbledore will be the one helping lead Newt to defeat the dark wizard.

However, there are rumors that despite writer J.K. Rowling revealing Dumbledore is gay, and supposedly in love with Grindelwald as a young man, there will be no acknowledgment of this relationship in the film.

WHICH BREAKS MY HEART. I want to see Dumbledore in love, even if it's with an evil wizard. Also, it would make it just that more dramatic if he's trying to destroy the person he loves most. Oh, man, the fan fiction writes itself, people!
