Grey's Anatomy Is Getting A New Super-Star Doctor! Find Out Who It Is Here!

ABC

SPOILER ALERT!

Grey Sloan is about to get a whole lot hotter! According to TV Line, photos began surfacing of a very.. gleeful new guest star!

That's right Matthew Morrison is joining the cast of Grey's Anatomy as "Dr. Paul Stadler."

Earlier this year Shondaland released a report claiming they were looking to cast a caucasian male in his mid-40s to play a doctor who is “appealing, charismatic and charming” but also has a “manipulative, scary dark side.” So really it comes as no surprise that they chose Matthew Morrison. The role was basically written for him.

As excited as we are to see Matthew on our screens every Thursday, that excitement is met with some discomfort as it has also been speculated that he could be Jo Wilson’s estranged husband. It was teased by Grey’s executive producer Debbie Allen that we might meet this unsavory character from Jo’s past in the very near future. Directly coinciding with Morrison's entrance.

“It’s the elephant in the room, the one piece that we have not been able to fit into the puzzle of why they have not been able to get married, what she’s been holding back and what she’s been dealing with,” Allen said. “It gives us great story.”

Justin Chambers also teased that Alex might be on the hunt for Jo's estranged ex as well.

It’s being reported that Morrison’s character will appear in the show’s final four episodes, with scope for him to return when the show enters its 14th season!

With only 6 episodes left till the season finale one thing is certain, we won't have to wait long to watch all the drama unfold! Tune in to ABC on Thursdays at 8/7c to find out Matthew''s true new identity!
