Bad news, Netflix fans. Filming of House of Cards Season 6 has been halted indefinitely after Kevin Spacey was accused of sexual assault of a 14-year-old boy. Both Netflix and Media Rights Capital have confirmed the news in a joint statement.
"MRC and Netflix have decided to suspend production on 'House of Cards' season six, until further notice, to give us time to review the current situation and to address any concerns of our cast and crew," the statement read.
Why Did House of Cards Get Cancelled?
Netflix halted production of House of Cards Season 6 after Kevin Spacey was accused of sexual assault by actor Anthony Rapp when he was 14 years old.
On Sunday, Rapp told Buzzfeed about the encounter he had with Spacey in 1986, in which Spacey made several sexual advances toward him.
The effects of Spacey's advances continue to deeply disturb Rapp.
"My stomach churns," Rapp said. "I still to this day can't wrap my head around so many aspects of it. It's just deeply confusing to me."

Most House of Cards are now wondering what happens next. Will there be a House of Cards spinoff? Turns out Netflix is definitely thinking about it, especially considering the show has been such a hit. If Netflix does make a Cards spinoff, this will be the first for the network.
