Who Is Link on Grey's Anatomy? What to Know About Chris Carmack's Role in Season 15

Are you ready for Grey's Anatomy season 15? We know you are! Especially if you're just as obsessed with Grey's as you were back in 2005. Now, we've got a steamy new doctor for you to swoon over. Grey Sloan Memorial hospital has got a new Orthopedic God in town named Link, played by The O.C. and Nashville alum, Chris Carmack. So, who is Link on Grey's Anatomy? We've got everything you need to know about Carmack's role so far.

Not so sure about this one? We were skeptical, too, especially since the Ortho God title can only really go to Sara Ramirez's Callie Torres, after all! Can there be two?

Executive producer Krista Vernoff seems to think so.

In an interview with TVLine, Vernoff gets fans excited with Carmack's new character without giving too much away, saying that she wants fans to "discover him."

Very interesting, Krista. Do we smell a character arc coming soon? Quite possibly. But, in what sense? Will he be more of an Alex Karev-type of character? The kind that has us hating him in his first season but falling in love with him a season later?

No. In fact, it seems like it's going to be quite the opposite.

According to Vernoff, Carmack's Link will be a former team surgeon for the Seattle Mariners. He also "brings the confidence of that. And Chris brings his own sense of humor to the set, and that has been really joyful to explore."

Vernoff also explains that Link, unlike young Karev, is actually very likeable when we first meet him.

"It's fun and funny," Vernoff said. "And when you look like that, men are maybe disinclined to like you off the bat, but Link is so likable that he defies expectations."

So, it appears we have a funny man on our hands, which seems to be just what Grey's needs nowadays.

We certainly hope that he's as amazing as he sounds.
