What is the connection between 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' and the Archie Comics?
For those of you that didn't know, Sabrina Spellman is a character from the Archie Comics universe and she has appeared in the Archie comics multiple times. So, this Riverdale spinoff doesn't come to us as much of a surprise. The Chilling Tales of Sabrina, will also be an adaptation of the comic book series of the same title by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who is the Chief Creative Officer of both Archie Comics and creator of Riverdale.

So, how will the new Sabrina fit in with Riverdale? Well, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will simply be an expansion of the Archie universe on Riverdale, much like how it is in the Archie comics. Producers of Riverdale already hinted at an appearance of Sabrina in the Riverdale universe last season, and fans hope that Sabrina Spellman will make an appearance in the upcoming season this October.

That's going to be a hard no. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will be nothing like 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Variety reports that the spinoff will hold true to the Riverdale tone, as the drama "reimagines the story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age tale that traffics in horror, the occult and witchcraft, naturally. The new iteration is described as in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist and finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit."
When Will 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' Air?
While we don't have an exact date yet, we're expected to see the Sabrina reboot air sometime in the 2018-19 season. We're definitely hoping for a fall release!
