Kesha's New Song and Album "Rainbow" To Be Released August 11th
Kesha is back with new music and we couldn't be more excited! After four years of silence, Kesha has made her official return to the music scene with a new single titled "Praying" and a new album titled Rainbow, which will be released on August 11th! Then yesterday, Kesha released a new song and official video for "Woman", which will also be featured on Rainbow. Excited yet?
Unfortunately, we learned that a few (if not all) songs from this album were ready to go in 2016! But, due to Kesha's legal battle with her former producer, Dr. Luke, Kesha's new music has been on hold.
One song that was ready in 2016 stands out to us, since it is also the title of her new album coming this August, and obviously, it's called "Rainbow."
"Rainbow" was produced by Kesha's friend, Ben Folds, and hasn't been fully released to the public yet. But, Kesha has released a snippet of the lyrics to the world:
"I’ve found a rainbow, rainbow baby
Trust me, I know life is scary, but just put those colors on, girl
And come and paint the world with me tonight"
What Do The Lyrics For "Rainbow" Mean?
In an interview with Metro News, Kesha revealed that "Rainbow" was written while she was on the floor in rehab with a toy keyboard. She added that the song was a promise to herself that things would get better.
Are you excited for Kesha's new (and incredibly vulnerable) album on August 11th? Because we are!
