Excited for the new Instagram shopping feature in 2018? We definitely are! Instagram has been testing the feature to allow users to shop on Instagram since November 2016 with "shoppable posts." Since then, shopping on Instagram was rolled out for business use in the United States. We haven't heard much news about the expansion of the Instagram shopping feature. Until now. Starting Tuesday, merchants from all over the world will be able to promote their products through Instagram. Wondering how to add shop now on Instagram? When will Instagram shopping be available to your country? Also, how do you shop on Instagram? What happens if the shop now button isn't working? Here's everything you need to know about the Instagram shopping feature!

How To Add Shop Now On Instagram?

So, how can you make your Instagram shoppable? Here's how to add the "show now" button on Instagram so that you can reap the benefits of the Instagram shopping feature!

Before you start, be sure to get the latest version of Instagram on your phone, convert your Instagram account to a business profile, become an admin on a Facebook page or Business Manager account. You must also have a shop on Facebook or a product-catalog with Facebook Business Manager.

Have all of that done? Here's how to enable even the ability to tag products on Instagram.

  1. Go to your Instagram profile

  2. Click "Get Started" at the top of your profile

  3. If you don't see that, then tap the "Gear" image at the top

  4. Click "Products"

  5. Click "Continue"

  6. Select a product catalog to connect with your business profile on Instagram

  7. Click "Done"

Now, you should be able to have access to tag your products and also add the "Shop Now" button on Instagram! Here's how:

  1. Go to your Instagram profile

  2. Click the "Insight" icon with four vertical bars.

  3. Go to "Promotions" and click "Create a new promotion"

  4. Choose the image you want to use

  5. Instagram will ask "What do you want people to do." Click "Visit your website"

  6. Decide your budget for the promotion

  7. Click "Select Button Text"

  8. Click "Shop Now"

  9. Now, you should be able to put in the URL you want to use
