Grey's Anatomy Firefighter Spinoff Casts Jaina Lee Ortiz
This is an exciting week for all Grey's Anatomy fans! First, Grey's Anatomy Season 14 released its premiere date. And now, the Grey's Anatomy spinoff series has revealed its first cast member: Jaina Lee Ortiz. Deadline reports that Ortiz is believed to be the new female lead of the Grey's Anatomy spinoff series.
The 10-episode Grey's Anatomy spinoff will feature a group of heroic Seattle firefighters as they risk their lives on and off the clock. The lead characters, which now includes Ortiz, will be on an episode of Grey's Anatomy in Season 14.
Who else is excited? We sure are!
Who Is Jaina Lee Ortiz?
Although Ortiz isn't exactly a household name, we're sure that things will change after the release of the Grey's Anatomy firefighter spinoff. After all, Shonda Rhimes is known for taking relatively new names and turning them into stars.
Ortiz has been the female lead of Fox's crime drama called Rosewood. She's also been involved in several small projects like The After, Shooter, Misfire, and Laid Out.
