Buckle up! 'The Handmaid's Tale' is coming back sooner than you think.

The Handmaid's Tale Is Coming Back Sooner Than You Think

Wake up, America. The Handmaid's Tale is returning to Hulu – and we are more than ready to see what's to come for June (Elisabeth Moss). So when does The Handmaid's Tale season 3 come back on Hulu?

After teasing a new trailer on Instagram, Hulu dropped its first season 3 promotional trailer during Super Bowl LIII – and it was exactly what we needed.

Putting their own spin on the humorous Super Bowl trailers, The Handmaid's Tale team released a trailer for Gilead, the authoritarian regime that took over the United States.

"It's morning again," a man's voice said over calming and pleasant scenes of Gilead as he proceeded to tell the audience positive things happening in the world, like more women in the workforce and more children being born into happy and healthy families.

But, then it happens.

Fire erupts on screen and suddenly, the scene jumps to June. The man repeats, "It's morning again," but this time it's more menacing, and horrific scenes from The Handmaid's Tale play.

"Wake up, America," June said in a voiceover. "Morning's over."

Did you get chills? Because we did.

However, there was one thing missing from the trailer: a release date for the new season. Luckily, that announcement came a few days later.

About a week following the big teaser for the new season, The Handmaid's Tale team premiered the release date on its Instagram.

Doors opened burst open to even more fire to two words: June 5.

So, it looks like we're going to be seeing The Handmaid's Tale season 3 premiere on June 5 – and from the looks of the trailer, all hell is going to break loose. Are you ready?
