"Silent All These Years" Promo Breakdown
While season 15 of Grey's Anatomy has been one of the more lighthearted ones in recent seasons, the 19th episode looks like it's going to be dealing with a few sensitive topics.
For those of you who don't remember, Jo (Camilla Luddington) recently took a DNA test and found a potential match for a cousin. She talked to Casey (Alex Blue Davis) about finding Jo's birth mom, and by the end of the episode, Casey found her.
In the trailer, Jo finds her mother, played by Michelle Forbes, and things don't go as smoothly as we all had originally hoped.
"I think you're my mother," Jo says.
While we wanted smiles and hugs all around, Jo's mom said, "You can't be here." She then turns away from Jo.
However, it looks like Jo convinces her mom to have a conversation with her at a nearby diner. Then the trailer cuts to both women looking terrified as Jo asks her mom who her father is, and suddenly Jo is breaking down in tears as the trailer goes silent.
No. No. No. NO!
Although ABC claimed that this would be "one hour of outstanding television," when the trailer cuts to white at the end, they also make a disclaimer that has us pretty worried.
"Due to sensitive subject matter, viewer discretion is advised," the trailer wrote in plain text.
So what's coming? Something big.
Our hearts break for Jo and we're not sure we're ready to see Jo in pain if that's what the Grey's team has planned. Whatever happens, we're going to have to wait and see.
