Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Spoilers: Sarah Utterback Returns As Nurse Olivia

Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Spoilers: Sarah Utterback Returns As Nurse Olivia
It looks like we're bringing back more classics, Grey's Anatomy fans! After the return of executive producer Krista Vernoff in season 14, Grey's has definitely started to look like it used to! After some throwbacks to original interns like Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and Izzie Stevens (Catherine Heigl) as well as the return of Teddy (Kim Raver), we couldn't be happier! And now, it looks like another Grey's alum is coming back and we're expecting some major flashbacks. In our minds at least. And we bet that both George O'Malley (T.R. Knight) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) wouldn't approve of this character's return, considering she passed on syphilis from one man to the other. Yes! Sarah Utterback returns as Nurse Olivia in Grey's Anatomy season 14! But, why is she back? What's going on? Are they bringing people back because the writers know that we're losing two of Grey Sloan's finest? We've got all the details! Read on, Grey's fans! But beware. This post is not free of spoilers. You have been warned.

Why Is Nurse Olivia Returning To Grey's Anatomy Season 14?
We got our first look at Nurse Olivia's arrival at Grey Sloan this week and it looks like her son is being treated by none other than Jo (Camilla Luddington), who is Alex's fiance. We just know that the syphilis thing is going to be brought up and it's going to be super awkward. We can't wait! The last time we saw Nurse Olivia was back in season 6. So, we're honestly curious to see where she's been all this time.
ABC previously released the episode's synopsis for the episode titled "Hold Back the River," but it had no mention of Olivia's return. Although it seems that Jo will continue to be working with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) to salvage their project, we're not entirely sure how this will tie in with Olivia's just yet. And from the looks of the trailer, Karev is dealing with some drama of his own.

Fans React To Arizona's Return
Wondering how Grey's Anatomy fans are taking Nurse Olivia's return? Well, it depends on who you're talking to. While some are excited, others are not exactly as happy as we are, especially considering Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and April's (Sarah Drew) exit after this season.

there is no reason to bring back nurse olivia this show is so annoying they can bring back a character from season 1 that no one cares about but can't come up with a storyline for april and arizona it's just laughable at this point

Are you excited for Nurse Olivia to return?

Who Is Richard Webber Trying To Save? Is Arizona Robbins Going To Die?
As a bonus for watching the trailer for the next episode and sticking around until the end, we have a thought. Is Arizona Robbins going to die? In the trailer for this week's episode, we see Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) tell a blonde woman, "I'm not going to let you die." And he has his serious face on. So, you know it's something scary. Who is he talking to and why are they on the brink of death? We need to know!
From the clip, it looks like it's Arizona who is in danger. The trailer flashes her face right before Richard said anything. Is that just a clever editing trick? Or perhaps Grey's Anatomy is alluding to Arizona's death? We're going to have to wait and see to find out!
However, I've got a fan theory that this week's episode will set us up for the possibility of Arizona's death. We'll be worried about her until the end of the season also because we know Capshaw is leaving Grey's! But, she won't die. As soon as we know that Arizona is in the clear, then BAM. April will be the one who dies, since we know that she is leaving, too. And what better way to start off that storyline with the episode that Nurse Olivia returns? A character who we all connect with George, a character who went out in the same matter. Because that's just the Grey's Anatomy way.
Who do you think Richard is talking to??
