A real dream come true!

'Grey's Anatomy' Teamed Up With Make-a-Wish Foundation

Grey's Anatomy is known for making dreams come true for fans onscreen. But now, Grey's Anatomy partnered with Make-a-Wish Foundation to bring joy to a 17-year-old fan, Isabelle (Izzy), in real life. In a recent video shared on the show's Twitter, the Shondaland drama shared Isabelle's experience on set, and it's seriously one of the sweetest things we've seen all week.

In the video, viewers watched as Izzy arrived on the Grey's Anatomy set and met up with Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary), Taryn Helm (Jaicy Elliot), and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.). She even witnessed a spoiler – but of course, we didn't get to know what it was. It's a secret, remember?

Izzy and her family then get to take a look backstage to see what goes on behind-the-scenes of the world of Grey's Anatomy, including body parts and costume design. She later even got to direct a scene and meet Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) herself.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Izzy revealed that she was diagnosed with Wilson's Disease, but she watched the show as a way to escape reality.

"I started watching the show four years ago when I got really sick and I didn't go to school because I was so sick," Izzy said. "It was a really cool way for me to be able to escape the frustrations of the life I was living."

And while Izzy's wish was to meet Pompeo, the Grey's Anatomy team did whatever they could to make a day out of it.

"It was honestly pretty surreal and it took me a little while to process what it was like and that I was actually there. It was honestly a really, really cool experience," Izzy said.
