Deadpool 2 Final Trailer Easter Eggs

Marvel Studios finally released its final trailer for Deadpool 2 on Thursday morning, and to say we are excited would be an understatement. The final trailer for the film, which will be released on May 18, is filled with Easter eggs. Did you catch every reference? Of course not. Who could? Except for maybe Ryan Reynolds himself. So, we're here to bring you our favorite Deadpool 2 final trailer Easter eggs. Why only our favorites? Because we couldn't find them all either. Now, are we trying to stay true to the nature of Deadpool or is this just lazy writing? Who knows. Probably the latter. But, before we can get to the fun stuff, check out the trailer below!

It's time to stop floundering about and start diving into some Easter eggs! Let's go.

1. Pump The Hate Breaks, Thanos

Yes, Deadpool made a joke about Thanos. Towards the beginning of the trailer, Deadpool is riding in a car with Dopinder. Deadpool looks at the screen and says, "Pump the hate breaks Thanos". For those of you that don't know, Thanos is Marvel Universe's biggest bad guy. For now, that is, seeing as he's the main villain in Marvel's upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, which debuts in April.

2. From The Studio That Killed Wolverine

One of many Wolverine references in the Deadpool final trailer. The trailer poked fun at the fact that Marvel Studios recently killed off Wolverine in Logan last year, which was said to be Hugh Jackman's final performance as the mutant.

But, Reynolds certainly isn't subtle about how much he wants Wolverine to show up in a Deadpool film.

Writer Paul Wernick previously told The Playlist, "It would be amazing to have Hugh resurrect Wolverine in the Deadpool universe, and again, Ryan's making a hard push to make that happen, and hopefully the public gets behind it and we can all convince Hugh to put the claws on one more time."

3. You Sure You're Not From The DC Universe?

Need some ice for that burn? Deadpool couldn't resist but tease Warner Bros. darker take on the DC Comics movie adaptations.

In the trailer, Cable (Josh Brolin), said, "You're no fuckin' hero. You're just a clown dressed up as a sex toy."

To which Deadpool (naturally) replied, "Do dark! You're sure you're not from the DC Universe?"

Hilarious.

4. Bring It On One-Eyed Willy

If you didn't get this reference from The Goonies, we can't be friends. Just kidding. I missed it the first time around anyway. I am shamed.

Anyways, in the trailer after a series of slow-mo battle scenes, Deadpool challenged Cable, itching him to move forward with two fingers, and said, "Bring it on one-eyed Willy." And for anyone who didn't know, kids in The Goonies find a map that leads them to find the long-lost fortue of "One-Eyes Willy", a pirate.

5. X-Men Origins: Wolverine Reference

Immediately after the Goonies reference, the final Deadpool 2 trailer unleashes yet another Wolverine reference. This time, from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, in which Reynolds played Wade Wilson. In the trailer, Deadpool mimics the opening sequence in Wolverine done by Wade Wilson. And yes, it's perfect. Check out the two scenes being played side-by-side. We cannot stop watching.
