Grey's Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone joins 300+ women in accusing director James Toback of sexual harassment after his response in Rolling Stone.

If it wasn't clear after the Harvey Weinstein scandal, Hollywood has actively taken part in feeding rape culture and ensuring its survival. But in light of it all, women have used this moment to use their voice in hopes of reversing the narrative. Last week, The Los Angeles Times published allegations of sexual harassment against director James Toback by 38 women. Since then, more than 300 women have come forward with claims of coercion, inappropriate behavior, and even more sexual harassment against Toback. The reports come from actresses such as Rachel McAdams, Selma Blair, and Julianne Moore. Now, Grey's Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone (Amelia Shepherd) is speaking up about her experience with Toback. And yes, it is just as horrifying as you could imagine.

Scorsone, who plays Amelia Shepherd on the Shonda Rhimes medical drama, shared her experience with Toback on her Instagram page in response to Toback's denial of claims in Rolling Stone, to which he called "offensive."

Here is what Scorsone had to say about Toback's comments:

"In response to James Toback's crass denial in Rolling Stone, I feel I must corroborate the stories of these women," Scorsone wrote. "I want to be clear that the predatory director I wrote about in the article I posted a few days back, was James Toback. The article was written 17 years ago. Many industry people knew about it and encouraged me to stay silent. I didn't, and it directly affected my career. I stand with all the women who were brave enough to tell their stories. I also stand with all the women who don't feel that they can speak up, even now. Let's shine light into all the darkest corners."

Scorsone shared the article she was referencing, in which she shared a personal essay about her experience with sexual harassment. Although she did not call out Toback by name back then, she stated that he was a "fairly prominent director" and her choice to speak out cost her on advancing her career. In fact, this caused her to quit her career as an actor. However, Scorsone returned to acting because of showrunners like Shonda Rhimes, telling fans that there is hope in the industry.

"I wrote this article 17 years ago. I was a teenager," Scorsone wrote. "After it was published, I quit the business in reaction to the veil of silence surrounding this issue. I eventually returned to acting as an adult, supported by show runners like Shonda Rhimes. She is an example of the good side of this industry. These examples exist. Let's be done with the other kind. "
