Facebook has been following in the footsteps of Instagram and Snapchat for the past few years. In order to stay relevant, and because Facebook is an older app with an older population of users, they have added a story feature, as well. Just like Instagram and Snapchat stories, these Facebook stories are pictures you can broadcast to your friends from their timeline. It is a good way to give a live update of what you are up to, since making statuses has become a more serious undertaking. But does Facebook notify when you screen record a story or when you screenshot a story? Read on to find out.

While there is no notification feature for screen recording on Facebook, the app seems to be one step ahead of Snapchat and Instagram here! Although you cannot see a screenshot of a story, Facebook has integrated iOS's new screen recording into their app itself. On Facebook, you can screen record and screen broadcast what you are seeing in your app.

However, be careful because Facebook has an iron-clad privacy policy. You know, that long terms and conditions page you agreed to but didn't read when you joined Facebook? It states ownership rights for everything on Facebook, so you be careful what you screen record and broadcast from your account!
