If You Love The Bachelor Franchise, You'll Enjoy These Reality Shows
The Bachelor isn't the only show you should be hooked on!
Shows Like The Bachelor
We watch them religiously, dreaming of the day we'll experience our own fairytale romance—or really, any sort of romance.
So when either of these shows (and even Bachelor in Paradise) aren't on, we can't help but feel a little bit lost.
And that's when we turn to the seven reality shows below that are somewhat similar to the franchise. If you're looking to fill that Bachelor-shaped void in your life, these shows are it!
1. The Proposal
From the creators of The Bachelor franchise, The Proposal is essentially an entire season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette on fast forward.
Ten contestants compete against one another to get engaged to their potential life partner by the end of the hour-long episode. It's interesting, to say the least.
2. Love Island
Love Island is kind of like a British version of Bachelor in Paradise, but a whole lot trashier and far superior.
The show takes a group of contestants and isolates them from the world in a villa in Mallorca, where they must be coupled up with another contestant—whether it be for love, friendship, or money.
While the contestants are hilarious, the best part of the show is definitely the narrator. Start watching and you'll see what we mean.
3. Are You the One?
This MTV series aims to bring soulmates together. The male and female contestants have all been matched up beforehand by the show's producers using a highly scientific matchmaking algorithm. Throughout the show, the contestants need to figure out who their ultimate match is. If they succeed in correctly finding everyone's perfect partner, they share a $1 million cash prize.
The possibility of finding true love and becoming rich? Sign us up!
A spinoff of the reality show Southern Charm, RelationShep follows Shep Rose on his quest to find true love all thanks to the help of his friends. Plus, it's a Bravo show, so you know it has to be good.
5. I Wanna Marry "Harry"
Before Prince Harry married Meghan Markle, he was on a reality TV show to help him find love... sort of. This Fox series rounded up a bunch of women and told them they were competing for Prince Harry's heart. The catch? It wasn't the real Harry, just some ginger who looked a lot like him.
6. Married at First Sight
As the title suggests, this Lifetime series is about people getting married at first sight. Three couples are paired together by a panel of relationship experts and experience their first date at the altar. We don't know of a single dating show more high-stakes than this.
7. 90 Day Fiancé
In this TLC show, an American and a foreigner have 90 days to decide if they want to get married or not. And it's filled with as much drama as you'd expect, so get to watching ASAP.
