Did You Know You Can Get Disney+ for Free? Here's How

In case you've been living under a rock or don't check the internet as often as we do, you might've missed the news that Disney's new steaming service, Disney+, is now live for people in the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands to enjoy. If you live in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, or Spain, Disney+ will rollout in March 2020 for you to enjoy.

Though it was released November 12th, Disney+ has been on people's radar for some years now. The world was originally unsure of how to feel about yet another streaming platform to subscribe to, but it's Disney. You can't not subscribe to Disney.

Those who were onboard from the get-go signed up months and months ahead of the streaming platform's release. And many of them are already loving the selection of TV shows, movies, and original content, though the release was met with quite a few technical difficulties. Many reported they were unable to connect to Disney+, so it's safe to say it broke the internet—er, streaming-net?

At this point, plenty of people have already signed up for their subscription without batting an eye. But, they should've. A little bird told us there's a way to get Disney+ for free. That's right, free.

We're glad we were some of the few who held off on signing up for the subscription service before the launch, because we are big fans of getting free stuff. While it isn't as easy as we'd like it to be, getting Disney+ for free does require a bit of effort from you, along with a pact with Verizon.

More on that, and Disney+, below!

How Much Does Disney+ Cost?

Before we get into how to get Disney+ for free with Verizon, let's discuss how much it costs. You may not have Verizon as your network provider, so switching now could be a waste.

Disney+ is currently $6.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial period. If you don't want to switch to Verizon and can create enough accounts to get as many free trials as humanly possible, this might work out better for you.

If you're too lazy to do either of those things, $6.99 per month for Disney+ really isn't so bad. Netflix ranges from $7.99 per month to $15.99 per month, depending on your plan. Amazon Prime is $12.99 per month or $119 for a full year, with a Prime Video only subscription costing $8.99 per month. Hulu with ads is $5.99 per month, but $11.99 per month without ads. We could go on and on with all the new streaming services and their monthly prices, but we'll cut it off with the big three.

Regardless, Disney+ is right in line with their monthly price point, so it's not too far off from what we're already paying for the likes of Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

Speaking of Hulu, there is a way for you to get Disney+ and Hulu in a bundle that'll cut costs. Keep scrolling to find out more on that!

How to Get the Disney+ & Hulu Bundle

So, you want to get the Hulu and Disney+ bundle? You've come to the right place.

On the actual Disney+ website, they offer subscribers the chance to bundle Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ for $12.99 per month. If you love Disney and sports and Hulu, this is absolutely the bundle for you.

The only downside is there is no free week trial with this one, like the standard Disney+ subscription.

But wait, what do you do if you already have Hulu or even ESPN+? Have no fear, you can still download Disney+ as an add-on through Hulu. The cost still should be the same as the bundle, though it seems to be unclear how much a Disney+ add-on will set you back.

We'd like to assume it won't be more than the bundle they've created, but one never knows with these sorts of things. If that's not the case, read on for how you can get a year of Disney+ for free with Verizon.

How to Get Disney+ for Free

The moment you've all been waiting for, here's how you can get Disney+ for free through Verizon.

We're sorry we made you scroll this far, but we wanted to give you all the information before hand to make sure we didn't rob you of anything. Without further ado, let's dive into things.

Alright, so yes, you can get Disney+ for free for a year with Verizon. We know, we sound like a broken record.

Starting November 12th, Verizon will give out this offer to new and existing 4G LTE and 5G unlimited wireless customers. New Verizon Fios Home Internet and 5G Home Internet customers also have the opportunity to enjoy 12 months of Disney+ on the wireless carrier.

Once Disney+ is launched, Verizon customers can activate their subscription and start streaming content on mobile and connected TV devices, including gaming consoles, streaming media players, and smart TVs.

To learn more about how to get this deal, if you're already a Verizon customer, head over here.

You might not think you're eligible for this plan, but there's a pretty high chance you are. Verizon notes that about 50 million customers are on unlimited plans that are eligible to get free Disney+. We like those odds.

If you're not on Verizon and wondering if your wireless carrier will offer a similar deal, those odds aren't looking so hot. Currently, Verizon is the exclusive U.S. wireless carrier partner for Disney+. There may be other plans in the works down the road, but that doesn't seem to be the case for the first year of Disney's streaming service.

Are you a Verizon customer who has already pre-ordered Disney+? Don't fret, you're still eligible for the Verizon and Disney+ promo. You'll end up receiving an extension on your current subscription, so you'll still get a year of Disney+ on Verizon's dime. How nice is that?

Seems like Disney+ is practically a necessity at this point.
