Is Jackson Leaving Grey's Anatomy? Fans Are Worried About Jesse Williams' Role in Season 15
Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) has been a staple character of Grey's Anatomy ever since the merger with Mercy West. If we're being honest, one of our biggest fears has definitely been ever losing him. What reason would we have to watch Grey's beside those piercing green eyes? Not to mention, we'll never forgive April Kepner (Sarah Drew) for taking him for granted.
Unfortunately, this fear might definitely become a reality for Grey's Anatomy fans. Reddit users have expressed concern about whether or not Jackson will actually be a part of season 15. With four movies currently on his plate and April's official exit from the show, could this mean that the era of Jackson Avery has come to an end? Let's take a closer look at exactly what's going on.
Why Reddit Users Are Worried
All of this worry on whether or not Jackson will be a part of Grey's Anatomy began on Reddit. Fans started to take note of the fact that Williams is currently committed to roles in four separate films.
Williams currently has roles in the remake of Jacob's Ladder, Random Acts of Violence, Selah and the Spades, as well as Team Joy. It doesn't take a genius to tell you that Williams sounds like he's spread pretty thin already. Fans are worried that he won't have time to spend as Jackson anymore, and that is terrifying.
How Would Grey's Anatomy Deal With Williams' Absence?
Everyone is thinking it, but no one has said it-- Jackson Avery better not die. If we can't have him, we can at least hope he's not killed! Some fans are thinking they might have him join the army, something that would be very out of character for Jackson. Plus, running away and joining the army is more of April's thing.
We've been very excited for Jackson's return to season 15, especially since his fling with Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) is expected to get more serious. This "season of love" would be nothing without him. Whether Jackson becomes more absent from the show or gone for good, we won't know for sure until the return of the new season. All we can do now is hope the rumors aren't true!
The two-hour season premiere will air on ABC on Thursday, September 27 at 8PM/7PM Central. This is definitely not one you'll want to miss.
