Every Grey's Anatomy Wedding, Ranked By You
You would think a wedding would always mean joy and happiness, but not on Grey's Anatomy. Occasionally things will actually go well, but it's very rare. But what's a wedding without a little drama and tears?
Not to mention, half of the Grey's weddings don't follow through anyway. We've seen plenty of heartbreak right at the altar. Just because a wedding doesn't work out it doesn't mean it wasn't one of our favorites!
Grey's Anatomy has a track record of disappointment, especially when it comes to love. However, plenty of the weddings had happy endings! It's up to you to decide which ones you loved and hated.
So, vote for the best Grey's Anatomy weddings of all time.
Did we forget about your favorite? Let us know and we can add it if we get enough write-ins.
Derek And Meredith's Post-It Wedding
This will go down in history as one of the most unconventional weddings we've ever seen on Grey's. Derek Shepherd (Parrick Dempsey) and Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) finally decide to make it official... on a Post-It note! They wrote down their vows, stuck it on the wall, and called it a day!
Alex And Jo’s Wedding
The marriage of Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) and Camilla Luddington**) was a long time coming. Although it definitely went far from planned, the ferry boat wedding was more romantic anyway. And who better to officiate the wedding than Meredith, Alex's long time best friend? It might not have been easy but it was a huge relief to see them finally tie the knot!
April And Matthew's First Wedding
It may not have worked out for the Matthew Taylor (Justin Bruening) and April Kepner (Sarah Drew), but this wedding facilitated one of the most legendary Grey's Anatomy moments to ever happen. When Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) stood up and objected the wedding professing his love for April, jaws dropped around the world.
Izzie And Alex's Last Minute Wedding
This wedding was very special given the circumstances Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) were in. First off all, it wasn't even supposed to be their wedding-- Izzie planned it for Meredith and Derek. Meredith literally gave the wedding to them since Izzie was sick; we were definitely an emotional wreck for this one.
Cristina And Burke’s Almost Wedding
How could anyone forget this almost wedding? Meredith found Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) at Preston Burke's (Isiah Washington) apartment after he left her at the altar. When Cristina realized Burke was really gone, Meredith held her and cut off her dress as she had a breakdown.
Callie And Arizona’s Wedding
Callie Torres (Sara Raninerz) and Arizona Robbins' (Jessica Capshaw) wedding was about much more than a marriage. It was about breaking stereotypes and barriers, letting love be their guide. We felt like these two went through so much judgement and pain up to this point (especially Callie from her parents), making the final result even more worthwhile.
Cristina And Owen's Wedding In Meredith's Living Room
Okay so this was Cristina's second time around at a wedding, and it was much more casual. You might remember that Cristina refused to wear white. She goes as far as to call it sexist and racist, typical!
April And Jackson’s Wedding
After April ditched her own wedding to run off with Jackson, the two decided they would just get married then. They drove to Lake Tahoe where they found a minister to marry them. At least someone got what they wanted!
Dr. Webber And Catherine’s Wedding
Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) and Catherine Avery's (Debbie Allen) originał wedding cerrmony had to be postponed after a tunnel collapsed in Seattle. The two finally got married at the hospitals chapel, which was perfectly fitting.
Amelia and Owen’s Wedding
Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) got married with a simple ceremony at a small church. The wedding was nothing too memorable, but we're sure you haven't forgotten that same day Ben Warren (Jason Winston George) delivered April's baby in Meredith's kitchen with a knife. Oh, and Amelia almost bailed on the wedding-- pretty standard for and episode of Grey's Anatomy.
Teddy And Henry’s Fake Wedding
You can definitely say this wasn't the most romantic wedding. That might be because Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) is only marrying Henry Burton (Scott Foley) so he can receive proper health insurance for his treatment. Not to mention the entire event took place in an OR.
Miranda And Ben’s Wedding
Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) was on her way to her own wedding when her limo had to be rerouted to the hospital. It turns out that Adele Webber (Loretta Devine) was rushed to the ER, requiring attention from her husband and Dr. Bailey. The wedding was postponed until Dr. Bailey finished Adele's surgery.
April And Matthew’s Wedding (Round 2)
We were totally shocked to learn that April and Matthew had actually found their way back together, especially after what happened at their first wedding. After Alex and Jo's disaster of a wedding, the two decided to just get married then and there.
