We have all been waiting for our questions to be answered after the abrupt ending of season 13, and boy did this premiere took us on a roller coaster! Grey's makes us laugh, but there's no denial that it often gets us deep in the feels. These ten moments throughout the premiere were not ones to forget!
Tonight, the Grey's Anatomy Season 14 premiere broke us in the best way possible. From feelings of nostalgia to shock, tonight's premiere was everything we needed from Grey's and more. Honestly, it was as if they jam-packed an entire season of Grey's into one. The Shondaland team definitely brought the thunder. So, without further adieu, here is every moment that Grey's Anatomy Season 14 gave us the feels.
When Nathan Told Megan "She's Not You"
We are thrown into an emotional scene of Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) performing a scan on his fiance Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer), who has been missing for the past ten years. As Megan lies in the machine, she questions Nathan about his current love interests. Nathan melts our hearts when he says, "she's not you", making it clear that their flame is being rekindled.
When Megan Revealed She Has A Son
When Megan says the word "child", you bet everyone jumped out of their seat assuming she had a kid with Nathan. It turns out that is far from the case-- Megan reveals she had a son while she was in Iraq. She also expresses her strong desire to have him back with her safe in America, but that won't be an easy task.
When Teddy Shows Up Behind Owen
"Coffee after 5 PM?" Something about the never ending tension between Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) pulls us in every time. After all this time has passed, some things just never change. As the episode continues to unfold, our gut feeling about these two proves to be right!
When Maggie Says To Jackson "Your Face Is Perfect"
We love April, but we all know Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) would make an adorable couple. Yes, this little interaction in the cafeteria was as awkward as it could get, but we have to admit it was just as much cute. Is it too soon to say Jaggie the new Japril?
When Teddy Comforts Owen Through Coping With His Sister's Surgery
Teddy sees Owen having a break down and creates a moment between the two that brings us back to the good old days. "Head between your knees major" she reminds him as he struggles to catch his breath and remain calm. Going ten years thinking his sister was dead seems to be testing his sanity.
"The Talk" Between Meredith And Megan
There's really nothing more exciting than a man walking in on the two women in his life having a little discussion. Surprisingly, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Megan get along well, bonding over their love for their children. When Meredith is asked if she loves Nathan, she reminisces on Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), "the one great love in her life".
"You Are My Surgeon"
We really sense the feelings of trust between Megan and Meredith in this scene. Meredith offers to get a different surgeon for her, but Megan chooses to keep Meredith. It's surprising that they are able to avoid the drama that naturally plagues the hospital, especially after Megan learns of Meredith's romantic involvement with Nathan.
When Jo Opens Up To Ben About Her History With Physical Abuse
We hear about Jo and her experience with physical abuse when she opens up to Ben about it. Ben decides to comfort Jo by reminding her that she isn't the one who caused the abuse. Jo insists that watching Alex beat Andrew to a pulp is what triggered her to leave him, which leaves us feeling sympathetic for Jo.
When Nathan Proposes To Megan
Yes, it was definitely coming, but this soon??!!! While Nathan is pouring out his heart and vowing his love to Megan in her hospital bed, Meredith just happens to walk in-- talk about awkward! Unfortunately, the moment is cut short and we don't get her answer until the end of the episode.
When Megan Revealed Her New Abdomen
Through all the romance and drama, we often forget that the surgeries that are the reason everyone is together in the first place! The trauma Megan goes through in order to heal her abdomen is finally over when Meredith performs her groundbreaking surgery. We now have an indication that Megan may be here to stay.
BONUS: When Amelia Found Out She Had A Brain Tumor
The Grey's Season 14 premiere was too good to have only 10 thoughts. The entire episode had us rooting against Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), but the last 5 minutes had us shook and absolutely heartbroken. *Of course, * Amelia has been the worst throughout the premiere. She has a freaking brain tumor. Honestly, we're still in shock.
