Your Friends Will BEG You For This Pie Recipe (And It's SO Easy)

This is literally the best pie of all time. No joke.

A Southern classic, the French Silk Pie is a velvety chocolate treat that's better than the creamiest chocolate mousse and way easier to make.

1 graham cracker pie crust, pressed into your pie pan and baked until set. Instructions here.

For the filling:
- 4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 2 sticks of salted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 eggs

For the topping:
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 oz whole piece of semi-sweet chocolate

For the filling:
1. Combine the sugar and butter into a bowl and whisk (with an electric or stand mixer) until fluffy (~2 minutes).
2. Drizzle the melted, cooled chocolate over the creamed butter/sugar along with the vanilla extract, and beat with the mixer until combined.
3. Turn your mixer to a medium speed and keep it running for ~20 minutes. Add the one of the 4 eggs every 5 minutes.
4. Scoop your delicious, fluffy pie filling into the graham cracker crust and smooth it to make sure it's evenly distributed.
5. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before topping and serving.

For the topping:
1. Combine the heavy cream and powdered sugar in a bowl and whisk with your electric mixer/stand mixer until stiff. (Looks for nice little peaks of whipped cream that don't collapse when you remove the whisk).
2. Spread a thick layer of whipped cream over the top of the pie.
3. Grate semi-sweet chocolate on top for garnish.
