The Perfect Christmas Morning Cocktail: How To Make Cranberry Mimosas

Try this twist on a traditional mimosa to give you a boost Christmas morning.
1. Gather your ingredients

You'll need (to make 4 servings):
1 orange, sliced into quarters
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup cranberry juice (make sure it's sweetened, or labeled as cranberry cocktail)
1 bottle champagne or prosecco
12 fresh cranberries
4 plastic toothpicks
2. Add sugar to the rim

Pour your sugar onto a flat plate. Rub the rim of a glass with the orange slices, then dip into the sugar. The thicker the layer of sugar in the plate and the coarser the sugar, the prettier it will be.
3. Mix the goods

Pour 1/4 cup of cranberry juice into each glass and add enough champagne to top them off.
4. Garnish!

No cocktail is truly complete without a good garnish. Curl a small piece of orange peel and artfully place on the edge of the glass. You can also string four cranberries on a plastic toothpick and just drop it in your drink. If you want to get super creative, string your cranberries on a sprig of rosemary.
