The Easiest Way To Cut A Pineapple Without Looking Like A Fool

I love pineapple. So. Much. But it's such a hassle to get to that delicious sweet core. I bought one of those fancy pineapple coring devices, thinking I'd found the solution to all my problems.
But I hate it. I have to stand on a chair to get enough leverage to even use it and then it gets suck... Definitely not a solution. But all is not lost!
Follow these steps for easy pineapple break down without wasting a ton of the fruit in the process:
Step 1: Remove the ends.
Remove the leaves and the bottom. Try not to remove too much of the fruit...the more you save, the better.
Step 2: Remove the outside.
Stand the pineapple up on flat side. Using very thin slices (a sharp knife will be your friend here), remove the outer skin. Keep the slices as thin as possible to reserve as much of the fruit as you can.
Step 3: Cut it into quarters.
Slice the pineapple in half, and then each half in half again.
Step 4: Remove the core.
If you look at each piece of pineapple, you should be able to distinguish the core from the fruit. The core is often paler in color and much tougher. Take your knife and slice between the core and the fruit. Discard the core.
Step 5: Chunk your pineapple!
Slice each quarter in half again (for eight total wedges). Chop each wedge into bite-sized pieces.
