Trump Could Feed All Homeless Veterans For The Cost Of His Military Parade

Why feed the veterans when you can feed your own ego, right Donnie?
President Trump's military parade has officially been given the green light.
And according to an analysis by Newsweek, the money could be spent on much more important things — namely homeless veterans.
Trump's military parade will cost an estimated 10 to 30 million dollars. That same dollar amount could be used to feed every homeless veteran.
There were 40,056 homeless veterans in the United States in 2017, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
On the low end of the parade's estimate, 10 million dollars could provide $249.65 for all 40,056 homeless veterans.
To put things even further in perspective, this dollar amount could provide each homeless veteran with 44.5 meals priced at $5.61 per meal (on the high end of estimates). That's enough for 3 meals a day for 2 weeks.
With a more standard meal cost estimate of $2.00, this money could feed every homeless veteran for an entire month.
The stark comparison between Trump's military and feeding homeless veterans highlights just how inefficient and backwards our President's priorities are.
President Trump would rather waste millions of dollars on a vanity project than accomplish some real good in the world.
