Stacey Dash Is 'Clueless' If She Thinks Running For Congress Is A Good Idea
On Monday, Clueless actress turned Fox News commentator Stacey Dash announced that she is running for Congress.
She intends to run where she lives, in the 44th district which includes Compton, San Pedro, North Long Beach, and Watts.
Dash previously hinted at a potential congressional run back in early February when she tweeted, "A number of people online and off have suggested I run for political office," she tweeted. "I wanted to see what my online community thinks of this idea as I mull the possibilities. Thoughts?”
The initial response was not very excited, to say the least.
"Hell will freeze over before I let Stacey Dash represent Compton. Whatever the maximum donation I can give to her opponent, consider it done!” one person tweeted.
"I think I just saw Stacey Dash, running for congress, and Compton in the same tweet so I am going to assume that was a mistake,” another person tweeted.
The actress is sure to face an uphill battle during the election, considering the fact that the 44th Congressional District of California has been voting Democrat for the past six years.
But Dash doesn’t seem too concerned about her detractors. ""I live in the 44th unlike some who don't live in their districts. Thank to those who offered their support," Dash tweeted.
