It’s A Fact: Strong Women Just Aren’t Waiting By The Phone
Stop obsessing and start living.
PSA, ladies: You need to stop waiting by the phone.
If you're one of those girls who's always at home with her cats waiting by the phone for her crush to text her, you need to reprioritize your life.
The reason your dating life isn’t doing so well is because the rest of your life is, well, nonexistent. Get off the couch, go out with friends, and start living.
That way when a guy comes into the picture, you will have plenty of other things going on to keep you from fixating on him and him alone.
Here’s why you need to put the phone down and get a life instead:
1. Waiting around for him won’t make him call or text faster.
You’re basically worrying and causing yourself unnecessary anxiety.
2. You’ll build up problems in your head that don’t exist.
”Why hasn’t he called me? Did I do something wrong? Maybe he got into a traffic accident and that’s why he hasn’t responded to my 27 texts.”Asking yourself endless questions will only stress you out.
3. You’re not open to meeting Mr. Right.
By fixating on one guy who hasn’t given you any kind of investment or commitment, you’re closing yourself off from potentially meeting the right guy.
4. You'll start obsessing.
When you spend your time waiting by the phone, that means you also have time to Facebook stalk him all the way back to his family vacation to Cabo San Lucas in 2009.
5. You’ll never move on.
If he hasn’t called or texted you, it’s because he doesn’t want to. That might be a tough pill to swallow, but you’re wasting your emotions on the wrong person. You should never have to fight for a guy’s attention. If days or weeks pass and you finally do hear from him, you should be too busy with a new guy to even want to respond.
