Here Are All The Nov. 7th Races & Ballot Measures You Need To Know About

Believe it or not, people are going to the polls on November 7th.

While not every state has something to vote about this Tuesday, it's important to stay informed and go to the polls if you live in one of the following places:


The governor race will be between Democrat Ralph Northam and Republican Ed Gillespie.

Furthermore, 43 Democratic women in Virginia are vying for a seat in the House of Delegates.

New Jersey

The governor race will be between Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno.


The 45th-District race features two women of color with immigrant roots — Democrat Manka Dhingra and Republican Jinyoung Lee Englund.

Furthermore, the Seattle mayoral race will be between two women candidates — Jenny Durkan and Cary Moon.

Charlotte, North Carolina

The mayoral race will be between Democrat Vi Lyles and Republican Kenny Smith.

New York

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. is an incumbent was supposed to be running unopposed, but Peter Gleason has joined the race last-minute as a write-in candidate.


Voters in Maine will decide whether or not to become the 33rd place in the country to expand Medicaid.

Athens, Ohio

Athens voters will decide whether or not to pass an ordinance to decriminalize marijuana.
