The Voice Season 13 Spoilers: Watch The Leaked Auditions
Full body chills.
The Voice is returning for season 13, kicking off with the latest round of blind auditions. To give you an idea of the raw talent you can expect to see during the Monday, September 25, premiere episode, here are the leaked audition tapes from The Voice season 13 with coaches Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Spoiler alert: You will get chills.
Chris Weaver Stuns All Four Coaches
As seen in the clip above, Long Island native Chris Weaver got all four coaches out of their chairs during his blind audition as he sang Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness".
As soon as Chris, a worship leader and drag queen, hit his first note, Adam and Jennifer were hooked. They both hit their buttons and turned their chairs around at the very beginning of the song. By the time Chris reached his final note, all four coaches were turned around and out of their chairs.
Jennifer praised Chris' performance by throwing shoes at him — "Now, where I come from, y'all, that's a compliment," she explained — prompting Chris to reveal that Jennifer has thrown shoes at him before! He sang for her at a party for her Broadway show, The Color Purple, and she was just as moved the first time around.
Brooke Simpson Makes Miley's Heart Race
Brooke Simpson's performance, in the above clip, also impressed all four coaches and earned a four-chair turn. The Hollister, North Carolina, native sang Demi Lovato's hit, "Stone Cold," so beautifully that Miley went on stage and had Brooke put her hand to her heart to feel how fast it was beating.
Jennifer was equally as entranced by the vocals, saying, "I thought I knew singing, until you just came out here and did that."
Although we know all four coaches wanted both Chris and Brooke on their teams, we'll have to tune in to The Voice premiere find out who they both selected.
The Voice season 13 premieres on Monday, September 25, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
