It's the time of the year again! As we inch closer to the Bachelor in Paradise finale and the beginning of filming for the next season of The Bachelor, Bachelor Nation is dying to know: Is Peter Kraus the next Bachelor?

While the official announcement hasn't come yet, here's what we know about the chances that Peter will be our leading man for The Bachelor season 22.

Could Peter Kraus Be The Bachelor 2018?

The chances that Peter will be the next Bachelor seemed pretty high, if we take into consideration the fanbase behind him. The show's creator, Mike Fleiss, tweeted out the latest power rankings for the top five contenders, and Peter topped the list.

Of course, since Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette ended, the big question on everyone's mind (including host, Chris Harrison) is whether Peter is ready to commit to marriage.

Thankfully, Peter hasn't denied his desire to be the next Bachelor. On Wednesday, August 9, he told Michael Strahan on Good Morning America that, if asked to step into the role, he'd "have to think a lot about it."

Unfortunately, Fleiss later tweeted that Peter will "probably will not" be our next leading man. That's not a no, exactly...
