The Bachelor in Paradise finale is getting nearer, and we all know what that means... It's almost time for the next season of The Bachelor to begin filming! With that in mind, Bachelor Nation is dying to know: Is Peter Kraus The Bachelor 2018?

While there haven't been any official announcements yet, here's what we know about whether Peter will be the next leading man for The Bachelor season 22.

Will Peter Kraus Be The Next Bachelor?

If fan opinion is any indication, the chances that Peter will be the next Bachelor were looking pretty high! Recently, Mike Fleiss, the show's creator, tweeted out the power rankings for the top five contenders, and Peter reigned as number one. He also announced that the next Bachelor will not hail from JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette, which keeps Peter in the running.

Since seeing Peter leave during Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette, the main question surrounding Peter according to host Chris Harrison is if Peter is willing to commit to marriage.

However, we can all breathe a sign of relief because Peter hasn't denied that he wants to be the next Bachelor. Speaking to Michael Strahan on Good Morning America on Wednesday, August 9, Peter revealed that, if asked to step into the role, he'd "have to think a lot about it." Well... he didn't say he wouldn't do it.

Sadly, Fleiss all but crushed the dreams of everyone on Team Peter when he tweeted that it is unlikely that this stud would be our next Bachelor.
