It's not easy...

Last night viewers of Fox's "Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again" headed back to Transsexual, Transylvania, did a pelvic thrust, and it drove them insane.

Laverne Cox and Victoria Justice strutted onto the stage of the TV remake which aired last night on October 20th. The 1975 beloved original starring Tim Curry which has been long considered a cult classic the world over, was directed by Kenny Ortega. The plot of the remake, which was fundamentally identical to the original film, has been mostly panned by critic and received negative reviews while Laverne Cox's performance has been widely praised. Chris William of Yahoo news writes, "Any shivering with anticipation quickly gave way to anticipating the most telling lyric of the night: "I'm at the start of a pretty big downer." Sing it, doomed buff dude."

Cox brought out all of the stops last night with her musical chops and reimagining of Frank-N-Furter's unique personality, Cox infused her character with a sort of sexuality and dominance that allowed her interpretation of the much loved character, originally played by Tim Cury, to stand on its out without much comparison. In fact, Cury - who has been confined to a wheelchair since having a stroke back in 2013, took part in the remake, standing in as the story's professorial narrator, The Criminologist.

If one thing is indicative of how an audience feels about a performance it's social media, where this time, tomatoes were hurled at everything from the casting to the fishnet costumes and performances.

While Adam Lambert and Laverne Cox's performance seemed to steal the show and receive most of the complimentary attention, avid fans want newbies to remember the original. "Millennials need to known the original #RockyHorror has less boxer shorts, and more cannibalism," one user wrote.
