From Kim Kardashian to Katty Perry, it looked like Hillary Clinton had just about every celebrity in her corner during the presidential election. Now that the votes are all in and there's no looking back, one famous celeb came out to say she backed the famous mogul: Paris Hilton.
While promoting her latest fragrance on the Australian TV show "The Project", Hilton was asked about her view of Trump, who wrote an endorsement for the heiress in her latest book Confessions of an Heiress. “I’ve known him my entire life, and he’s always been incredibly supportive of me, so I’m very proud to have that on my book,” she said. After being asked if she voted for him she initially laughed it off but admitted that she had, in fact, voted for Trump. “I’ve known him since I was a little girl, so, yes,” she said.
Hilton had kept quiet about her vote previously. In an interview with TMZ on November 8th, she wouldn’t cop to who she voted for saying, “My mother taught me never to talk about politics or money.”
While the Trumps and the Hiltons have been friends for quite a long time, no one was entirely certain that the "Simple Life" star would actually cast her vote for the then GOP candidate. In fact, during the campaign, her name came up as an example of how Trump consistently objectified women and girls. People magazine reported that in 2003, while on the Howard Stern Show, Trump admitted that he found 12-year-old Hilton attractive. “Now, somebody who a lot of people don’t give credit to but in actuality is really beautiful is Paris Hilton,” he said. “I’ve known Paris Hilton from the time she’s 12, her parents are friends of mine, and the first time I saw her she walked into the room and I said, ‘Who the hell is that?’”
“Did you wanna bang her?” Stern asked. “Well, at 12, I wasn’t interested,” Trump retorted. “I’ve never been into that ... but she was beautiful.” He also admitted to watching the infamous sex tape that shot her to stardom. That's despite being a good family friend and knowing her since she was a little girl. “I have seen it. Melania showed it to me,” he said. “I think it’s probably unfortunate and it made Paris hotter in terms of the world. Because the world is so screwed up … but I think it probably made Paris even better.”
