1. The New Harry Potter and Ginny got J.K.'s Stamp of Approval
J.K. Rowling's play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is just a week away from it's first preview debut and J.K. Rowling's publishing site Pottermore has bestowed upon Potterheads the play's official cast photos.
The play which comes to London's West End in July is set 19 years after the books famous ended, and sees Harry as an "overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic", juggling his career with three children.
The two-part West End stage play written by Skins writer, Jack Thorne, is based on the story by author J. K. Rowling, Thorne and theatre director, John Tiffany. It is the the eighth official installment in the Harry Potter book series and is set 19 years from where we left off in the Deathly Hallows.
The West End play will tell the story of Harry’s son, Albus, at Hogwarts and will open at the Palace Theatre in London on July 30th.
Actor Jamie Parker will take on the role of adult Harry who now works for the Ministry of Magic and has won Rowling's favor. "He simply is Harry now," the Harry Potter creator told Pottermore. "There's a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right."
Poppy Miller, best known for her role as DC Carol Browning in the British crime drama, The Commander, will take on the role of Ginny Weasley.
Sam Clemmett, who acted as Lewis Daynes in BBC Three's Murder Games: The Life And Death Of Breck Bednar, will take on the role of Albus Severus.
