And she really don't care.

The Short of It:

Demi Lovato took to Twitter last night to announce a pretty big blow to fans: she's taking a break from the business.

The Longer Version of It:

In a post to fans on Twitter, Lovato announced her anticipation for the new year-- she's taking a break from the business and taking a big step back from the Hollywood limelight.

"So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight.. I am not meant for this business and the media," Lovato tweeted Tuesday, hours after the release of pretty candid Glamour November cover story.

Shocked by the former Disney Channel star's revelation one fan asked: "But are you coming back??"

Lovato's response wasn't exactly reassuring she'd return in 2018. "Dunno. It doesn't feel worth it anymore. I'd rather do charity work [to be honest]," she tweeted.

Lovato took quite a bit of heat this week for taking Taylor Swift to task in the November issue of Glamour. Asked about Lovato's past comments on Swift's lack of support for feminism, Lovato swiped at Swift's "squad."

"To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don't see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body," Lovato said. "It's kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it's not real."

No surprise Swifties were quick to attack and Lovato took to Twitter in an attempt to defend herself.

"I don't understand why people care so much about what I say in interviews? Do y'all watch the news? Don't y'all got s**t to worry about?" "I get asked questions," she added, "I answer them. Sue me."

Still, not everyone's falling over the tweets by the pop star who's cried wolf before. The singer/ actress told fans that she was going on an Instagram and Twitter detox just five months ago in June saying she 'quit' only to sign back on to the apps less than 24 hours. Social media is addicting y'all. It was around the same time that Lovato went on her app cleanse that she also confirmed her split from longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.

There's hope for you Lovatics yet. The "Stone Cold" singer is still set to complete the international leg of the Future Now tour-- the final concert date of which is slated for Feb. 3, 2017 in Dubai as part of RedfestDSB.
